Denver On Cross Processed Film

I thought I'd share something a little different today. Recently, I wandered around Denver and shot some slide film with the intent of getting it cross processed. It was my first time cross processing film and I really didn't know what to expect. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. Most of the shots came out great! You can be sure I'll be shooting more in the very near future and a few will definitely make an appearance on the blog. Here are a few of my favorites...

These were shot on Fujichrome 100D film on my Nikon F100. Processed at Walgreens and scanned on my Epson V500.

Morgan and Ben - Denver Wedding Photography

When Morgan and Ben moved from Wisconsin to Denver, they probably never thought they'd meet someone from just down the road and get married, but that's exactly what happened. Morgan and Ben both love the outdoors and all of the skiing and hiking that Colorado has to offer. Of course, with an active lifestyle comes injuries. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for Ben, he got hurt and met Morgan in physical therapy. They discovered that before they moved out to CO, they lived about 20 minutes apart from each other in WI! Of course, they have a lot more in common than that, which gave them plenty to talk about during therapy.

Pretty soon they were a couple and could be found hiking around Colorado together. On one memorable hike, Ben proposed on a mountain top and, of course, Morgan said "Yes!". That brings us to their wedding day...

It was a beautiful day to get married, a classic Colorado summer day: deep blue skies, fluffy white clouds and perfect timing on the afternoon clouds to shade everyone during the outdoor ceremony. Morgan and Ben had their first look at South Valley Park and their ceremony and reception at the Terrace Gardens at Ken Caryl. It was a day full of fun, laughter and love, including mustached flasks and bridesmaids in cowgirl boots. One of the highlights of the reception was when Morgan got a triple-serenade to Justin Bieber's "Baby", which had her and everyone else in tears from laughing so hard. This definitely wasn't the only time in the evening the entire room was laughing, which is a testament to how much fun everyone had at Morgan and Ben's wedding and what a great couple they are.

Huge thanks go out to Tess Polivka for shooting this wedding with me.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out their engagement session here. Yeah, super-cute, right!?

Now, here's Morgan and Ben's wedding day!
